ADDITIONAL WEEKLY RESOURCES
Excellent work this week! Thank You for your creativity and willingness to 'Commit to the Bit'!
Here are a few additional resources to help you continue thinking about Character Creation and Development.
This Whose Line game (Dating Game, aka Let's Make a Date) has three amazing examples of instant, committed character creation. Notice how none of the three drops out of character once established. Amazing vocal and physical transformations throughout that leave the audience busting guts!
Sharing the Character-week handout from Intermediate Improv. Many of you already have this, but if you don't, it contains a great list of essential character types in storytelling, which is a great way to start building original characters on the fly.
This is a voice qualities list that we've shared in several VO Workshops. It's not a complete list by any means, but it's a good starter kit for adding a little spice to the voice of your original characters. Which ones already define your voice? Which can you add to your voice? Remember, if you add a specific quality that hurts your throat– stop doing it.
